A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Dear
Palo Alto Branch Members,
As summer is drawing near its
end, we are all finding ourselves busy working on our teaching
schedules, trying to fit our students in conveniently amidst seemingly
impossible constraints, planning repertoire for them, perusing
new materials and getting ready for another year of teaching and
music making. During these summer months, next year's Board and
Branch meetings as well as Branch activities have been planned
out, membership lists and addresses compiled, various documents
revised, our website refreshed, and a new 2009-10 Yearbook edited
and printed for your convenience.
A big thank you to Olga de Maine
for countless hours of meticulous work on the Yearbook! Many thanks
to Mr. Alfred Leung who has been graciously working on our website!
And to Marta Schermerhorn, our Membership Secretary and Lydia
McCool, thank you for working to keep track of our database and
compile our membership and mailing lists!
I call on all of you to participate
actively in our Branch activities and contribute of your time
and talents to help run its programs. Please refer to State and
Branch Codes of Ethics as well as Standing Rules in the Yearbook.
I would like to extend a special
welcome to our new members and I hope to see all of you at our
first Branch meeting on October 13th, at my home.
With best wishes for a wonderful
year!
Nurit Barlev
President
